Learn About Renewable Energy
What is renewable energy?
Renewable energy is collected from resources that are rapidly and naturally replenished, such as sunlight, wind, water and geothermal heat. Technology such as photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and wind turbines convert these limitless natural resources into carbon-free electricity. Producing power with no carbon emissions and other pollution means that “clean” and “green” are apt descriptors for renewable energy solutions.
What are the benefits of wind and solar power?
After 20 years in the renewable energy industry, Community Energy, Inc. has seen a wide range of customers benefit from adopting renewable energy — especially as more policies and targets are implemented in recent years with the goal of decarbonization. Individuals, communities, companies (from small businesses to Fortune 500s) and utilities all gain from adopting clean energy through community solar projects and commercial off-site Power Purchase Agreements.
For all end-customers and at any scale, adopting renewable energy means reducing reliance on fossil fuels. Once constructed, wind and solar energy have zero environmental impact, which helps our customers meet personal or corporate sustainability goals. In more and more geographic markets, solar and wind energy are increasingly the most cost-effective source of power, benefitting consumer wallets and business bottom lines.
